Hi, I’m Caitlin. In my spare time, I’m a creative writer, working on the first novel in a planned trilogy. I consider myself a hobbyist photographer, and a lifelong gamer who cannot resist the call of some personal favorite series. Although I’ve dabbled in game mod creation, I very much remain a noob in that regard. I’m prone to rattling on about ancient Roman emperors and/or the paranormal. These things are, of course, in addition to matters of US politics.

While I don’t consider myself a blogger in the more dedicated sense, I fully intend for this to be where I go when I want to rant on about something, or show off something fun I did, and Facebook and/or Twitter just won’t quite do it. You know, for things like photoblogging and game reviews/essays. Yes, I have been known to write essays about videogames and their characters in the past. Don’t expect me to stop now.

In case you’re at all wondering, “poietria” is Greek for “poetess”. While Latin has long been my ancient language of preference (sorry, Hellenophiles), I’ve always loved the Greek term. And I’ve just decided to adopt it. Works well enough for a creative writer with a strong Classics background, anyway.
